It's also a mobile game + known bug


Hello dear developers and indie fans,

When we first thought about this game, Gyo' and I each wrote a list of "musts". In my personal list, I wrote "mobile friendly".

I am proud to tell you all that King Farmer is fully playable on mobile devices (even if I obviously wasn't able to test all of them).

This design choice has a lot of consequences : the game was developed with a mobile first mindset, which means there are no right-click actions, no tooltips when hovering the spells, and a very limited amount of keyboard shortcuts. 

As we keep working on the game, more computer options may appear.

Now, about the gameplay. I played the game a lot. A lot lot. For testing purposes but also purely for the challenge of beating my own game. I can tell you it is equally fun to play on my Fairphone than on my HP computer. I hope you will agree with this. If you do, leave a comment. If you don't, LEAVE A COMMENT ! We want to learn and take everything we can before starting our next Game Jam.

If some of you have special mobile devices (something else than a normally sized smartphone or tablet), can you pleae give the game a try and leave some feedback in the comments ?

Now... there is one bug I discovered recently that makes the game vey hard to play. For some people with high screen refresh rates (above 60 Hz), the game may be very, very, difficult. Too fast. It's my bad ! I totally forgot to adapt the game speed for high-end screens. I will fix the bug around 4PM (Bussels) and post the update maximum 30 minutes after that.

Keep testing the game, friends ! The game Jam ends in about 24 hours !
